This is my protest self portrait. It's pretty bad. I tried obviously to make it as realistic as possible but it didn't turn out very great. But in the beginning I really had no clue on how to do a portrait especially on myself. Thank god I look nothing like this portrait.
This is my facial proportion guide. This looks a lot better than my pretest. I learned a lot about proportion and how to make different pencil strokes to make different textures and what now. It was frustrating for me because it was super hard for me to do any blending and value. I have a mechanical pencil and that's it. I didn't have a blending stump or whatever and I didn't have any special value pencil. So that was frustrating. I tried to make it work by shading a little and then rubbing it with my finger. Which worked a little bit and that's how I got the little bit of value I have. I think I improved a good amount from the pretest. I sort of have a base on where to at least start with these different facial pieces.
This is my facial feature challenge. I picked kinda difficult pieces for this. Which was dumb of me and I didn't try to do that. But anyways, I tried my best to get them close. But once again, value was an issue. It was a struggle to try to get them similar because I don't have much to work with and I'm not very skilled. But I tried.
P.S sorry that all these pictures are sideways. I don't know why or how to fix it. Thanks for the good year. It was fun.
